IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PERMIT
NEW PROCESS FOR ISSUING PERMITS: Homeland Security is now requiring that all licenses have a photo of the license holder. Therefore, your teen will be required to go to the DPS office to have their photo taken when applying for a learners permit
On the first night of class, A-Plus Driving School will provide a checkoff list of all Identification papers required by the DPS office;. We will provide instructions on first night of class to help students get organized before they go to DPS. Students test scores for permit & vision test will be given at A-Plus Driving School on the 3rd night of class.
After the 3rd night of class you and your teen will take their ID and test scores from us to the DPS office. If parent is unable to take teen to DPS you may get the application notarized and your teen may go with any licensed driver. We will provide a notary on the 1st and 3rd night of class only. Fee is $3 cash only. DPS will take your teens photo and issue permit. You will then be able to start scheduling your driving lessons in the car.

Directions:
Take 1-45 south to Beltway 8 (heading towards airport).
Exit Aldine Westfield.
Make a U-Turn under Beltway 8.
Get in the far right lane.
Make your 1st right on Vantage Parkway.
DPS will be located on the left at the curve.
