Permit information
PARENTS AND STUDENTS:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PERMIT

Items you will need to take to the DPS to get Permit:

  • Original Birth Certificate or American Passport *Born in a foreign country you must show visa or green card
  • Original Social Security Card
  • Verification of Enrollment Form this form indicates that you are currently enrolled in school and have attended at least 90% of all classes the previous semester. It will be necessary for you to obtain this form from your high school attendance office. VOE Expires in 30days.
  • Summer students: request VOE last week of school (NO SOONER). The form will be good all summer.
    You may contact your high schools district office if you were unable to get VOE before school let out for the summer
    Enrolled in a home schooling program: Ask us for a blank VOE form. Parent must fill out and sign.
  • Texas Residency Affadavit http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/residencyReqNonCDL.htm
  • TWO (2) forms of acceptable residency documents (see DPS website for accepted forms at http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/DriverLicense/residencyReqNonCDL.htm
  • DE-964 Certificate - This is a green certificate that will be issued on the 3rd night of class showing students test scores and vision test.
  • Application for an Instruction Permit: will be given to all students on the first night of class with the instructions & check off list or go to http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/ choose: DRIVERS LICENSE/NEW LICENSES/APPLY FOR A DRIVERS LICENSE/APPLICATION FOR DRIVERS LICENSE. If the Parent or Legal Guardian cannot take teen to DPS office, this form must be completed and Notarized. After notarized any licensed driver may take your teen to DPS office. If you do not have a Notary we will be available to Notarize the application for you on the 1st or 3rd night of class only. Notary Fee is $3 (cash only).
  • Checkbook or Cash pay for the permit. Fees : www.dps.tx.gov

Adult 6 Hour Driver Education

As of March 1st, 2010 the State of Texas Now Requires Adults 18-24 to take a 6 hour class before obtaining a Texas Drivers license.

We now offer the State required 6 hour Adult Drivers Education Class for Adults 18-24 in both English & Spanish!

Secure online enrollment

We now offer online enrollment for our Teen Drivers Ed classes. Click the "register now" button next to the course you want to enroll for. After entering your details you will be given a choice of paying online or later. A minimum deposit of $210.00 secures your place on the course.

For those paying later, payment is required 48 hours after your initial registration otherwise we will free up your place for someone else.

Online payment is provided through Google Checkout. To use this you will need to create an account but its free and easy.
